CTO. Built the engineering team.

From spoken terms to
a connected real-estate deal.

I’m Varea’s CTO, and I built the engineering team behind it. Together, we took a voice prototype into a real-estate transaction platform spanning contract creation, negotiation, signatures and workspaces for agents on both sides of a deal. My work connects conversational AI, property data, contract rules and related documents. We also built the tools behind the product: a studio for configuring forms and workflows, plus call traces and replay for investigating AI behaviour. I lead the architecture and delivery, stay hands-on in the engineering, and work directly with agents as they start using it.

I also wrote technical material for the US provisional patent application filed in March 2026.

Where I can take the lead.

Fractional CTO

You need a CTO.
You don’t need one full-time.

The product needs direction. Technical decisions keep landing on your desk. You need someone who can make the calls and take responsibility for what happens next.

I take ownership of priorities, architecture and delivery. I can be your first technical leader, lead your existing developers, or build the team you need. I stay hands-on where it matters.

For ongoing work, we agree the decisions I own, the time reserved for your business and how we review progress. If you first need an independent view of the product or the work being delivered, we can start with a technical second opinion.

How I work as your fractional CTO Let’s talk about the CTO your business needs

AI automation

The work keeps coming.
Your team needs room to breathe.

Your people spend too much time finding information, copying between systems and chasing the next step. The work piles up, and customers wait.

I work through the process with your team and build the internal AI tools, voice agents, integrations and workflows we agree are worth doing. If the first move isn’t clear, we can start with the workflows and an implementation plan.

We agree how to judge the improvement. When we build, testing with staff, training and the points where a person needs to step in are part of the scope. I can stay involved to maintain and improve the systems as your business changes.

MVP & product
development

Your idea deserves
a proper first shot.

You want something people can use. You also want to avoid spending months and money building things they don’t need.

We define and build the first complete journey that gives your users the product’s main value. I make the technical calls and lead the build, with working versions you can see along the way.

We agree how to involve intended users, review what happens after release and decide what deserves the next investment. I can work with your developers or bring and lead the team.

How we define and build your first release Let’s work out your first version

Start with something concrete.

You can bring me in to take the lead, or start with a defined piece of work. Either way, you’ll know what you’re buying.

These are paid engagements, scoped and priced before we start. The first conversation is free.

Before you put more money into it, know where you stand.

Built with AI, preparing to launch, or unsure about the work you’re paying for? I review the agreed product and delivery evidence, explain what needs attention and which technical accounts and access you control, and give you written findings with a prioritised recommendation.

What the review covers Discuss a technical second opinion

Let’s build the part people came for.

Starting from your idea or existing prototype, we define and build one agreed, complete user journey that delivers your product’s main value. You get a working release you can use and carry forward.

Discuss your first release

Show me how the work gets done. I’ll show you what to change.

I work through the process with your team, prioritise the worthwhile improvements and deliver proposed workflows and a clear implementation scope. You can use it with your team or have me lead the build.

The whole operation was the brief. The team needed help across the working day: finding property information, sorting emails, handling calls and producing marketing material. I built an internal GPT for working with documents and property systems, Outlook email classification, telephone workflows and a studio that turns property photos into marketing videos. I connected the systems behind that work, giving the team tools for the whole operation.

Let’s work
it out.

  1. Let’s take 30 minutes.

Bring the idea, the technical question or the work your team keeps doing by hand. I’ll share how I’d approach it and help you work out a useful next step. You’re welcome to use that advice whether or not we work together.

  2. We agree the first move.

We choose the right commitment: a focused review, a defined piece of work or ongoing technical ownership. I explain what you’ll receive, what I need from you and what it costs before we start.

  3. You see the work move forward.

Clear priorities, regular conversations and working versions when we’re building. You know what’s happening and where I need your input.

Let’s talk it through

I’m an engineer.
I think like an owner.

Building software since 2015.

My father was an engineer. I started putting computers together as a kid. Eventually, that became software, architecture and product work on Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen projects through diconium—and then a company of my own.

As co-founder and CTO of CodeCooperation, I built the engineering organisation and worked with founders bringing their products to life. Today, I also hold equity in several startups I work with. I have a personal stake in what happens after we ship.

That’s how I approach your business, too. I want to understand what’s worth building, what can wait and what will make a difference. I’ll challenge an idea if I think it needs it. You should challenge mine, too.

From mentoring founders to published research. I mentored startups through Founder Institute. I also led Translatly’s software architecture and development through CodeCooperation and co-authored its peer-reviewed study in JMIR Formative Research.

Before you ask.

What do I get from the first conversation?

We spend 30 minutes on what you’re trying to build, improve or get off your plate. I’ll ask questions, share how I’d approach it and help you work out a useful next step. You can use that advice whether or not we work together. Choose an available time below and add a short brief. You’ll receive a confirmation with a Google Meet link.

Can we start with one piece of work?

Yes. We can start with an independent technical review, a first usable release or the scope for an automation project. It should be useful on its own. You can continue with me, use your own team or stop there.

How is a paid review different from the free conversation?

The free call gives you my initial perspective and a useful next step. A paid review includes agreed preparation, examination of your product or workflow, and a written recommendation you can act on. We agree the question, scope and fee first.

Will I work with you or be handed to a team?

You work directly with me. If the work needs more people, I build or lead the team and stay responsible for the technical direction. We agree my involvement and who does what before we start.

Can you take over an existing product or work with our developers?

Yes. I can step in as your first technical leader, work with your developers or coordinate with an agency. I start by understanding what’s there, then decide with you what to keep, improve or change.

Can we work together from another country?

Yes. You can work with me remotely from another country, whether you are a founder or an established business. Before we start, we agree how we will communicate, arrange meetings and handle any working-time overlap the project needs. You work directly with me.

How do we agree the budget?

It depends on the responsibility, scope and time involved. Ongoing CTO work and a defined build need different arrangements. After we talk, I propose the scope, fee and review points. Any paid assessment is agreed separately before it begins.

What happens after the first delivery?

We decide that before we start. I can stay as your CTO or product and systems partner, with agreed responsibilities and capacity. If you need a one-off result, we plan the access, documentation and handover so you can carry it forward.
